OUR MISSION
Local Technique is a multimedia nonprofit project whose mission is to champion cooking as a means of learning from and engaging with resilient food systems where life and diversity thrive. We practice art, journalism and culinary research in the service of education and mutual aid.
We believe that farmers and growers are on the frontlines of climate adaptation. We share their stories with the cooks and eaters who depend on their work, in order to deepen our understanding of how human relationships to food can forge a path to a better future in the natural (and not-so-natural) world.
We focus on farms that support biodiversity, stewardship of the land and sea, and strong regional food systems.
